TEAM FEES: $150 non-refundable deposit is required for all NEW teams and a $100 non-refundable deposit is required for all RETURNING teams at the time of registration. A minimum of $100 is due prior to each game until the entire team fee is paid off. All team fees must be paid off by the 5th game. If the policy is not met, a team may be forced to forfeit games until the fee is paid. Any player on a team that drops out of the session before all fees are paid will be required to pay their portion of that team fee before being allowed to play on any other team.

ROSTERS: Players may be added to the roster up to the 3rd game. All rosters are final at start of the 3rd game. It is the responsibility of the Coach/Captain to ensure that no players are missing from their roster. All players added to the roster after the 3rd game will be considered illegal players. Teams playing with illegal players will be forced to forfeit all games in which that player participated. (Under special circumstances a team may be permitted by management to add players to the roster after the 3rd game). All rosters are limited to 18 players

PRIOR TO THE 3RD GAME OF THE SESSION, A PLAYER MAY SWITCH TEAMS ONLY ONCE. A PLAYER MAY NOT PLAY ON MORE THAN ONE TEAM IN THE SAME DIVISION ON THE SAME DAY.

Index

PLAY-OFF ELIGIBILITY: All players must participate in at least one regular season game to be eligible to participate with the team in the Play-off Tournament.

Index

Player Membership: Everyone entering the player benches must be currently registered with Arena Athletics - this includes coaches. A maximum of two (2) coaches will be allowed on the player benches during any game. Player Memberships may be purchased at the front desk. Adult Memberships are $20 and Youth Memberships are $15. Index

DIVISIONS: A division consists of 4-9 teams of similar age, gender, and skill level. Divisions are formed by Arena Athletics on a first come basis.

Index

FORMATION OF TEAMS:Team may be formed in a variety of ways including moving an outdoor team to indoor, splitting an outdoor team into two or more indoor teams, combining a team to form a new team, or by putting together a group of individuals together to play as a team. Teams who are in need of players may check the "Players Looking for Teams" binder located at the front desk. A team playing in a lower division may have no more than six (6) players from the same team in a higher division on their roster.

Index

MISCONDUCT: Any player, coach, or spectator may be ejected from the building if the Facility Manager or Referee feels that they are being disruptive. All persons red carded/ejected from a game MUST leave the building.

Index

LEAGUE STANDINGS: Any tie in the standings at the end of the season will be broken by head-to-head competition. If teams are tied head-to-head, the tie will be broken by a point system looking at each individual game. (For all games won, a team will be given a (+1) for each point up to three that their opponent does not score. Ex: A win of 3-1 will result in a (+2) for that game. For all games lost, a team will be given a (-1) for all points up to three that they do not score. Ex: A loss of 5-2 will result in a (-1) for that game.) If still tied, least goals against will be the tiebreaker. If still tied, most goals for will be the tiebreaker

Sessions where there is an odd number of teams playing an uneven number of games; one team must be given an extra game so that all the other teams will play the correct amount. The team receiving the extra game will not receive points for the final game of the session. (For instance, if there is a 7-team division playing a 9 game session, one team must play 10 games for all other teams to play).

Index

FORFEITS: Teams not ready to take the field at game time may be forced to forfeit that game. Any team that knows they are going to forfeit a game must call the facility 48 hours prior to their game time to avoid the $25 forfeit fee. This fee must be paid prior to the team's next scheduled game time. When a forfeit occurs, the opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 win.

The minimum number of players needed to avoid a forfeit is as follows:

  • U-6 through Adult = 2 players less than the maximum
  • Coed = 5 players; a minimum of one (1) female player; no minimum number of male players required
  • Coed - Goalie & 4 field players - one field player must be a female, however, no male players are required, therefore, all field players could be women.

If a fight does occur, any player who leaves the bench will receive a red card regardless of whether they actually fight or not. Any player ejected from a game must leave the facility immediately. If the ejected player refuses to leave, the Arena Athletics staff will call the Euless Police and have the player escorted out of the building.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: An individual may play on an indoor team regardless of his/her outdoor affiliation. Neither a release nor permission is required for any individual to play on an indoor team. Index

OVER 30 ELIGIBILITY: Teams playing in an over 30 division may carry two (2) players under the age of 30, but over the age of 27. The player may begin playing with an over 30 team during the season of their 27th birthday. Any player not meeting these requirements will be considered an illegal player. If a team feels that a referee did not do their job, they may fill out a referee misconduct report available at the front desk.

Index

SUBSTITUTIONS: All substitutions are made "on the fly". Permission from the referee is not needed. The player exiting the field must be at their player bench before the substitute enters the field. After a goal is scored, the referee will hold the game for any substitutions to be made. Play will resume with the referee's whistle signaling the kickoff.

Index

SIX FOUL RULE: A team is allowed five (5) fouls in each half. On the 6th foul, the opposing team will be awarded a penalty shootout. The defending team will be required to stand inside the center circle and the offensive team will line up outside the center circle along the centerline. Once the referee blows the whistle, the ball is live.

Index

UNDER 6 EXCEPTIONS: Each U-6 team may have one coach on the field during the game as long as the coach stays along his/her bench area only and does not interfere with play. If, in the opinion of the referee, the coach is interfering with play, he/she will be asked to return to their designated player bench or, in extreme cases, ejected from the game. U-6 games consist of four (4) 10-minute quarters with a one (1) minute break after the first and third quarter. At the end of the second quarter, the teams will have a two (2) minute halftime.

Index

SLIDE TACKLING: Slide tackling is ALLOWED in all divisions EXCEPT coed. In coed divisions, the goalie is allowed to slide inside the penalty arc. If the goalie's momentum carries them outside of the penalty arc, the slide tackle is still considered legal. All players who slide tackle in coed will receive an automatic blue card and a 2-minute time penalty.

Index

GAME LENGTH: Each game shall consist of two (2) 20-minute halves separated by a two (2) minute halftime. The clock will stop with any whistle during the last two (2) minutes of the second half.

Index

4 V 4 RULES: Only one referee will officiate each game. Rosters may consist of a maximum of 12 players. Teams may not score directly on a kickoff. Each team is allowed four (4) fouls in each half. On the 5th foul, the opposing team is awarded a penalty shootout.
